After months of eager anticipation tomorrow is our SUMMER FAYRE, 12-4pm on SATURDAY 17th JULY, 2010. 

We look forward to seeing you.  It is not too late to bring in cakes for the cake stall!  Don't forget your brollie and come and join us for what promises to be a fabulous day.

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Friday 25th June) is our class photographs day so it is probably best to avoid the England flag face paints - it was sporting MUFTI day on Thursday!

A big welcome to our new parent governor Mr Trevor Cook.  We currently have a vacancy for another parent governor- watch out for more information in our newsletters.  To see a photo of Trevor please look at the carnival showcase- he is one of the adult pirates! 

Update:  Mrs Sally Burton is now our named Child Protection and Safeguarding governor.

22/06/2010generalSports Day Sun Hat Alert!

Thank you to everyone who managed to come to our KS2 sports day today and special thanks to the PTA for providing the refreshments.  The day was a hot one and tomorrow promises to be equally sunny so please remind your child to wear a sun hat and to slap on the sun protection cream.  Although saying that, it was interesting seeing children trying to run and hold onto their caps; we had to admire their perseverance!

07/01/2010alertSchool Open Friday - hopefully!

Unless conditions worsen overnight we plan to open tomorrow (Friday 8.1.10).  Please enter the school via the main entrance, we are keeping the junior playground closed.  We will be going to play on the field if the weather permits so please ensure your child has wet weather clothing (ie change of clothes, coat, wellies, hat, gloves...).

We have postponed the Reception theatre trip to Saturday 16th January.  Tickets will be available for families to go to either the morning or afternoon performance.  Mrs Sage is working wonders again and will send a letter home shortly.

So, if you can get in to school safely, we will hopefully see you tomorrow.  Please ring the office if you are unable to get in.  Keep warm, see you soon!

Well as you know by now, school is closed Thursday 7th Jan 2010.  I will put up another alert about the Reception theatre trip tomorrow when we know more. 

We plan to have a winter snow display of your work so get creative everyone- photographs, art work, poems, stories, recounts- whatever you fancy, all children, parents, grandparents are welcome to share your ideas!  In the meantime, everyone have fun, enjoy the snow and we hope to see you Friday.

Today the children have been having fun playing in the snow.  If there is still snow tomorrow please ensure your child is suitably clothed to go out and play in it.  We are hoping to go on the field so bring in your labelled wellies, hat, gloves, scarf, change of socks and possibly waterproof/old trousers.  Should be fun!  Please see our showcase to view what we have been doing this lunchtime.

They will be joining other staff and governors on the January INSET day where the focus will be reviewing our School Development Plan. We wish everyone a happy Christmas. For children, Term 3 commences on Monday 7th January 2008.
12/12/2007generalChristmas PerformancesChristmas is fast approaching and here at school we are busy with our performances. During the week commencing 10th December, KS1 will be performing on Wednesday; KS2 on Thursday and Reception and Nursery on Friday. All concerts will be held at 9:30am and 2pm.
