Unless conditions worsen overnight we plan to open tomorrow (Friday 8.1.10).  Please enter the school via the main entrance, we are keeping the junior playground closed.  We will be going to play on the field if the weather permits so please ensure your child has wet weather clothing (ie change of clothes, coat, wellies, hat, gloves...).

We have postponed the Reception theatre trip to Saturday 16th January.  Tickets will be available for families to go to either the morning or afternoon performance.  Mrs Sage is working wonders again and will send a letter home shortly.

So, if you can get in to school safely, we will hopefully see you tomorrow.  Please ring the office if you are unable to get in.  Keep warm, see you soon!

02/01/2011alert School Closure 5.1.11

Due to burst pipes, the whole school will be closed Weds 5th Jan 2011.  Two Upper Junior classrooms (ES & AH) were flooded and will need extensive work doing to them.  In the interim our fabulous reception teachers have given up their classrooms and temporarily relocated to the green hall (and are threatening to not move out as it is so palatial!).  Our upper juniors, who have a great deal to cover this term, will be working in the reception unit which will be converted into two classrooms tomorrow.   Children will be lining up as usual in the playground or starting nursery at the normal time.   We look forward to seeing you back on Thurs 6th.

11/01/2011alert Power cut!

SJM again!  Chipping Sodbury and local area is suffering a power cut.  The school and nursery is open as normal but we will continue to assess the situation as the day progresses.ie. if the temperature drops the school may be too cold.  The electricity company hope to have everything fixed by 11am.  Wrap up warm and we will see you soon!
