14/10/2011general Working Party on Saturday

Re:  Working Party this Saturday 15th October.

Thank you for all your offers of help; we are going to get so much done!  Please come prepared to do painting, gardening or DIY depending on your interests.  It would also be good if you could bring your painting tools if you have any to hand eg brushes, sanders, dust sheets, and/or gardening equipment.

In addition to the painting and gardening we also have some more DIY jobs to do such as repairing the nursery shed (it has got gaps that need filling and securing) and widening the playground entrance (a few flag stones would be good too).  We could also do with a pick axe, gravel etc for those people who fancy working with Steve Neale on the latter project!

Huge thanks once again for offering your time.  I am sure the day will be an enjoyable one where we will be able to see a positive impact on the learning environment for our children.

See you tomorrow sometime between 10am and 4pm.

02/12/2011general Camel Procession Today (Fri 2.12.11)

TODAY the camel procession will be starting from the Vicarage in Horseshoe lane and going down the main street from opposite the Peugeot garage and down past the shops like Penny Farthings and Hobbs and round to the church.  All afternoon today one of the crafts going on in church will be making lanterns with night lights. If children would like to come into church to make their lantern and then be ready to stand in the street holding their lit lanterns (with parents/carers of course) while the procession takes place, it would great. We're hoping for TV coverage (not guaranteed of course!). So if children are interested in that I suggest they come into church from 4pm onwards to make their lantern.

Rev'd Jane.
